America, F*ck Yeah!

When selecting CDs to bring to Russia, I opted to leave the Team America soundtrack behind. As much as I love it, I do not think that the humor translates very well. The satiric idea of America as the Policemen of the World is seen as the truth to some extent across the globe. As such, I did not want to be sitting around listening to my headphones (and inevitably singing along out loud) to America Fuck Yeah, Comin Again to Save the Mother Fuckin Day Yeah or something. That would probably cause me to get my ass kicked. Anyhow, for Monday, we have each been asked to prepare a 15 minute mini lecture on a specific grammar point. We are supposed to explain the grammar point, and use supplemental materials to explain the point. I have been assigned conditional phrases. You know, as in which inevitably causes my brain to immediately begin singing Of course, today we did the section on why we should probably avoid teaching profanity in the classroom, so perhaps it is a good thing I left the Team American soundtrack at home. If I had it here, it would be unavoidable. As it is, I am having a tough time thinking of anything else!

We will be going to Moscow tomorrow, so I will not be able to blog at all. I will definitely be at the AH on Sunday at some point and if the internet is working (it does not always work), I will let you know the latest Jane dirt.
