Well, my individual student (see previous posts) didn't show up for today's class either, so I'm guessing she's not coming back. I asked our secretary if she could call the girl and find out, but apparently she was paying on a per-class basis, and the AH doesn't have her contact info. So I guess I'll never know what happened to her.

I checked out the website of the hotel she said she was going to work for, at a glance it looked extremely bogus.
There were only pictures of grounds (which could have easily been swiped from elsewhere) no address, no rate information (that I could find) only a fax number and maybe (?) a physical number?
Normally hotels have a bevy of info about amenities, restaurants, menus, rates and reservations, specials, qualities the hotel possesses (sp)but this site only had pics that i could see...smelled bad.
I read up alot on the stuff you were posting about human slavery from links you posted...it was interesting and made me think alot about how people often do this voluntarily--unwittingly of course. The stuff that kills me are the kids, particularly the ones sold into the sex industry by snatchers or even family or through deception.

For her sake I hope we're just making a mountain out of a molehill. It's just hard not to assume the worst, given the distressing situation of trafficking's prominence in Russia and Ukraine these days...
